חָכַר
חָכַר(cmp. חָכַךְ) to contract, farm, esp. to give or to take in rent on a fixed annual rental payable in kind, contrad. to אָרַס, שָׂכַר or קִבֵּל. q. v.B. Mets. XI, 2 חֲכוֹר ליוכ׳ give me in rent Tosef.Dem.VI, 2 החוֹכֵר שדה if one takes in rent a field. Ib. מה בין שוכר לחוכר what is the difference between the sokher and the ḥokher?; a. fr.V. חָכִיר.
